My Love Letter to Slow-Making

Some might call this their "brand mission" or "philosophy", but I think it is more fun to think of it as a Love Letter from me to my craft:

Cheyenne Autumn Jewelry grew out of my love for small + beautiful things: a teacup for my morning coffee, keeping buttons in a jar "just in case", thrifting for treasures, saving bits of ribbons from gifts to use again, collecting sea glass, the list goes on.

Over time, that same appreciation naturally wove its way into how I create: I gather sea glass & faded/chipped vintage pottery and work them into something lasting. I love giving them another chance to be seen and cherished and bring a little life back into things that were once overlooked.

My process can be quite slow and hands-on - it's certainly not the fastest way to make jewelry. But that's what I love about it: working this way invites me to pause and notice.

My hope is that my jewelry carries a bit of that feeling when you wear them: a reminder that beauty does not need to be new, it just needs to be noticed and appreciated. And, maybe, in wearing it, you'll slow down and delight in the little things, too!
