About Me

Hi <3

My name is Cheyenne & I make all the jewelry that you see here + hopefully adore, as much as I do! I am 24 years old and live in the greater Seattle area with my husband, pug and Gizmo (cat).

I have been teaching myself how to metalsmith since September of 2022 and have loved the trial & error and creativity that comes with learning the infinitely different jewelry-making techniques!

I often get messages and comments asking how YOU can, also, begin your silversmithing journey - I always love to recommend YouTube + TikTok - so much valuable information for FREE! I spent probably 3 weeks just researching tools, materials, techniques, etc. before I bit the bullet and began purchasing what I needed to get started. Then, I gave myself a few months to tinker, play, fail, try out, give-up, and then try again with all the materials I acquired. This meant that I got to become very accustomed to failure, AKA wasted time, material, money... the list goes on. And, it can still be so disheartening to have an idea and the excitement that goes with it, and to allow yourself to pour your heart, time and energy into a piece, just for it to turn out fill in the blank (ie: ugly, melt apart, realize you don't have the proper tools, etc). I failed then and I continue to fail now. And, that's okay. I think it's normal. So, I embolden you to try, knowing that you will fail at first (or a couple dozen times) before you succeed.

I am probably about to sound like a cliche poster that hung in your English teacher's classroom in high school but, my favorite quote is: "Don't call me lucky. I failed more times than you have tried." I want to meet whoever came up with that!

Other than jewelry-making, I love Taylor Swift, baking new recipes with my sourdough starter, thrift shopping, visiting Thailand, beach hikes, and reading + watching the Game of Thrones series (and spin offs)!

I suppose that is all for now.

You are loved <3
